Here is a quick sketch and greyscale study for my next project it took me about five minutes to do both.. now that it's up it is much lighter than it looked in photoshop. I need more contrast.
Was the pencil done digitally or scanned? For a quick contrast change you can just duplicate the layer and change its mode to multiply. You get a double hit of the same imagery then. It often works better than adjusting levels or contrast.
yeah it is a sketch scanned in. And it is set on multiply. In photoshop though the darks are a LOT darker and I was shocked to see how light the image uploaded
